Bambu Lab unveiled its new line of modular 3D-printable toy kits Friday, giving hobbyists and families the ability to create customizable toys at home.
The company released five initial kit designs, including a construction vehicle set, articulated action figures, modular building blocks, mechanical animals, and fantasy character components. Each kit includes digital files, assembly instructions, and recommended print settings.
“These kits bridge the gap between 3D printing technology and everyday play,” said Lin Wei, Bambu Lab’s product director. “Users can print exactly what they want, customize colors, and even modify designs to suit their preferences.”
The toy kits are designed to be printed on any of Bambu Lab’s printers, though the company says they’re optimized for their X1 Carbon and P1S models. Most components require no support structures and use minimal filament to reduce printing time and material waste.
Bambu Lab states that all materials used are non-toxic and comply with international toy safety standards. The kits are priced between $12.99 and $24.99, with the digital files available for immediate download following purchase through the Bambu Lab online store.
The company plans to release new kit designs monthly and is developing a community platform where users can share their modifications and custom designs.
