SUNLU unveiled next-gen filaments, FilaDryers, and strategic partnerships at RAPID + TCT 2025, emphasizing industrial innovation and global growth.

Chicago, Greater US Region – At the RAPID + TCT 2025 event, SUNLU International Holdings Limited, a Chinese company specializing in the production of 3D printing related materials and accessories, showcased their advances in technology which included: new generation filament dryers, industrial-grade materials expansion, and new partnerships in Eastern Europe. These announcements highlight the company’s efforts to close the division between consumer and professional 3D printing markets while dealing with crucial issues such as material storage and performance.

New Product Lineup Targets Industrial and Consumer Needs

The highlight of SUNLU’s exhibit was the launch of the FilaDryer E2 and SP2, designed to maintain precise humidity control during filament storage and printing. These dryers aim to mitigate moisture-related print failures, a persistent issue for users in humid climates. Alongside, SUNLU introduced seven new filaments engineered for diverse applications:

  • PA6-GF: Glass fiber-reinforced nylon for high mechanical strength.
  • TPU90A: Flexible, abrasion-resistant thermoplastic for functional parts.
  • PEEK: High-performance thermoplastic for extreme thermal and structural demands.
  • PLA Silk+ and PLA Matte: Aesthetic-focused filaments with silk and matte finishes.
  • ABS Flame-Retardant: A safety-compliant formulation for industrial prototyping.

“Our new FilaDryers and advanced filaments empower engineers and hobbyists to achieve consistent, professional results,” said Mathieu Noguier, SUNLU’s Europe Sales and Marketing Manager, during the unveiling.

Strategic Expansion into Eastern Europe

SUNLU formalized distribution agreements with Poland’s Botland and Czech Republic’s Bagrujto, marking its strategic entry into Eastern Europe. Wendy Yin, Head of B2B Sales, emphasized the move as part of a broader effort to “bring cutting-edge 3D solutions closer to regional markets,” citing growing demand for industrial and consumer-grade materials in the area.

Live Demos Highlight Practical Applications

Collaborating with 3D printing specialist VogMan and tech platform GamingTrend, SUNLU conducted live demonstrations at its RAPID + TCT booth. These showcased the dryers’ efficiency and the filaments’ versatility in applications ranging from automotive prototyping to hobbyist modeling. One demo featured TPU90A printing flexible gaskets, while another highlighted PA6-GF’s use in load-bearing components.

Company Backdrop and Industry Context

Founded in 2013 in Zhuhai, China—a hub for printing supplies—SUNLU operates 40+ production lines and holds over 200 patents. The company has sold 25 million units globally, cementing its role in the $30 billion additive manufacturing sector.

RAPID + TCT 2025, co-located with America Makes’ Spring TRX event, served as a convergence point for aerospace, defense, and automotive industries. Ford and Stratasys highlighted 3D printing’s role in automotive prototyping, with Ford’s team demonstrating rapid production of test parts using Stratasys’ industrial F3300 printer. “Desktop systems have limits; scaling requires industrial-grade solutions,” stated Stratasys’ Global Automotive Director, Fadi Abro.
