Autodesk releases Netfabb 2026 with expanded 3MF support and improved workflows for additive manufacturing.

Netfabb 2026 is the latest version of the Autodesk’s additive manufacturing software. Expanding 3MF support, enhanced data preparation workflows, and improvements on integrating into remanufacturing workflows are among the updates which look to increase productivity in 3D printing.

The Netfabb 2026 update includes improvements to part editing, labeling, and job preparation processes. A redesigned interface simplifies access to tools for support generation and orientation optimization.

Users working with complex assemblies can now utilize improved nesting tools for powder bed fusion processes. The 2026 version also improves integration with Fusion’s simulation environments.

Netfabb 2026 increases its existing 3MF support and brings users a better way to STL, with a more modern file format. Unique metadata tags can also be added by users at part import, providing for better traceability among teams.

Autodesk has enhanced machine workspaces, adding templates for new additive systems and refining process parameters for existing industrial printers from companies including Aconity3D, Farsoon, Formlabs, and Stratasys.

Updates to the simulation utility reduce computation times for thermal and mechanical analysis, a key step in metal additive manufacturing.

The software is available via subscription, with cloud-based features included under the Autodesk Fusion offering. A free trial is available through Autodesk’s official website.
