Ceramic 3D printing market set to grow to 3.3 million parts by 2034, struggling with current limited application awareness.
A brand new market analysis report by VoxelMatters shows that despite some of the limitations we have seen in the level of actual industry adoption, ceramic 3D printing technology is on an explosive growth path.
According to the Ceramic AM Market 2025 report, worldwide, ceramic additive manufacturing is in a crucial phase of development, with production of final parts reaching 84,000 units by 2024. There were more than 5000 prototypes, which reflects a dynamic market emerging with significant potential.

The ceramic 3D printing market is expected to grow significantly: the total part production is expected to exceed 3.3 million units by the year 2034, the report states. The market is expected to exceed $1 billion in annual hardware and service revenues.
Today, its key applications include dental and medical implants, aerospace components, and energy industry parts. But the report highlights a major barrier: most manufacturers are unaware of how the technology can benefit them.
“Ceramic additive manufacturing represents one of the first segments to offer a truly industrial revenue opportunity,” said the report. Comparisons are being made to the metal additive manufacturing market, where slow uptake in the early days ended up leading to focused developments toward the technology.
With commercial applications slowly gaining steam and the pace of new applications accelerating, experts say the industry is at an inflection point.
