Elegoo confirms it will honor existing Centauri Carbon pricing for U.S. orders amid tariff pressures but hints at future adjustments.
In a move that reassures customers, Elegoo has announced it will maintain the current $300 price tag for its Centauri Carbon 3D printer in the U.S, for now. The decision comes as global trade policies and rising tariffs disrupt the 3D printing market, forcing some competitors to hike prices unexpectedly.
The company clarified its stance in a recent post across social media platforms, including Reddit and Discord, stating that while future price adjustments are likely due to tariff pressures, existing orders will be honored at their original cost. Buyers who placed orders after March 13 can expect deliveries by July 31, with some February orders still in the pipeline.
Elegoo’s promise to provide at least a week’s notice before any price changes offers a narrow window for hesitant buyers to secure the Centauri Carbon before potential increases. The announcement alleviates concerns over retroactive pricing shocks, a frustration that has plagued other brands in the sector.
